Stephen
As many of you know, Stephen does not ever want to play hockey. We have been trying to teach him to skate since he was 2 years old but he just doesn't know how and doesn't like it. Well, I believe he need to play something so this year he tried his hand at basketball. I believe he liked it but I'm not sure you can tell by the look on is face. We took him to see a BYU basketball game, thinking if he saw the real thing up close he would like it more. HMMM, well we went with my young women and he ended up talking with them all night. I'm sure Stephen will find a sport someday.
Elder Jared
Jamaica, is of course a beautiful island full of beautiful people. As you can see by these pictures sent by our missionary Jared, there are some he loves a great deal. Michael was baptized in March. Jared was able to baptize him and Elder Doman (Jared's companion) performed the confirmation the following week. This pictures makes me cry because they all look so happy.
This picture of Jared & Akili is quite funny. Apparently it is a birthday tradition to get "floured" upon. I don't know how old Akili is but they look like they are having fun. Jared looks like he is having quite the belly laugh. He also looks very sunburned. He is not using his sunscreen. Mom will have to scold him. :-) It is so great having a son serve a mission.
Hockey Boy Ben
Ben had his last tournament of this official season this past weekend. They have had a good season. Ed has been coaching the team with their record being 27-13-8-1. The picture on the right is Ben scoring a goal to tie the game again Salt Lake County. Ben & Chase have played hockey together now for 6 years, I believe. This year they have accented each other with Chase having goals assisted by Ben and Ben having goals assisted by Chase. Our boys have made many good friends during their time playing hockey as have we.

All-Star Game
Mark has been playing hockey since he was 10 years old. He has been playing the position of defenseman. 2 years ago he decided that he wanted to be a goalie. He played 1 year in net for the Lehi High School hockey team and 1 year in net for Springville High School hockey team. At the end of his first year he was chosen to play in the high school All-Star game both nights. Last night he played in the high school All-Star game again. Here is the picture from last night. He is in the front row first on the left.
