25th Anniversary

Ed & I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on April 17.  Sadly I did not take one single picture.   We spent a couple of days up in Salt Lake.  We walked through the new mall, we did sealings in the Bountiful Temple, we went to the movie "Mirror Mirror" and went to the Utah Symphony.  We had a really relaxing time.  This man I married 25 yrs ago is the love of my life.  I am grateful that he has put up with me for this many years.  He has stood by me through a lot of things and I pray that we will continue to grow old together with patience and understanding and that the Lord will continue to bless us has he has so far.

April General Conference

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has a General Conference every April and October where we are blessed to hear from our priesthood leaders. It is very spiritually uplifiting.  There are sessions on Saturday and Sunday.  Saturday evening is reserved for the priesthood.  Ed has been taking our sons to this priesthood meeting ever since they turned 8 yrs. old.  This last April Jared had to work and Ben went with a couple of his buddies so it was just Ed and Stephen.  Stephen really wanted to wear a suit for the occasion.  I wish I would have taken a picture of him with Ed.

March 14, 2012 was a wonderful day.  Jared and Amanda were married in the Mount Timpanogos Temple.  The wedding was at 1:00 and then the reception was held that evening in Orem.  The ceremony was very special.

March 2012

March was a very busy month for us.  The week before we went to Idaho Falls for the blessing Ben got his wisdom teeth out.  That was an adventure.  He did really well right after the surgery but then developed an infection and was swollen for a good three weeks.  Immediately following the surgery he didn't really do anything funny, like Mark did, except that he kept telling the Dr. that he was going to go and play hockey that next day.  (I'm sorry, I keep trying to upload the video, but its not working)

Later in the month of March Ben's high school hockey team took the state championship.  Here is his team and him with the trophy.

Baby D

In February 2012 our niece Tina gave birth to baby #4.  She now has 1 girl and 3 boys.  Drexton was blessed in early March and we were able to go to Idaho Falls for that blessing.  We then went to Ed's sister's house for a lunch afterward.  Ed's family generally doesn't like having their pictures taken so here is what I was able to get.

Pond Hockey

Everyone who knows the Gantt family, knows how much we all love hockey.  (well, except Stephen, and he just tolerates it.)  Anyway, every year when the weather freezes Utah Lake, all of the "men" in the family can be found out there skating.  It is free, after all.  January 2012 was no exception.  Stephen actually enjoys skating on the lake.

See how happy he looks.

See, he actually will play a "little" hockey.

You can't go to the pond without taking a bunch of friends.   They all have so much fun they don't want to leave.

Christmas 2011

I love all of our boys more than life itself.  Even though they are goofballs.  They do love each other.

Jared and Amanda.  I'm grateful that Amanda is in our family now.

Wow...Ben and Dad look so happy.

Stephen and Ben...can you say "team work"

It seems almost a little ridiculous to be posting about Christmas when its the end of July that I'm finally posting.  However, I do believe its a good excuse to recall memories.  Christmas last year was on a Sunday, which I really enjoyed.  We were able to worship and remember our Savior in a more spiritual way.  I really do love my family and am very grateful for any opportunity to spend time with them.

Spenser's Wedding

In December our very dear friend Spenser Flitton got married to his eternal companion, Cassie.  He and Cassie are both going to school at Utah State and continue to be a very happy newlywed couple.  I took a picture of the shoes because I knew Mark would enjoy them.

November 2011

The morning of Stephen's 12th Birthday.
Stephen turned 12 yrs old on November 23, 2011.  The following Sunday he received the Aaronic Priesthood and began passing the sacrament.  He is a very happy and energetic part of our family.

Halloween 2011

Oh my goodness.... How did it get to be so long since I last posted.  I know that Mark likes to show his new companions what is going on back home so I decided I better figure out how to post again.  It's been so long I had forgotten.
This was Halloween 2011.  I love to sit on the porch and hand out candy to the trick or treaters.  Ben's contribution...Jared and Mandee were going to the ice rink for a halloween party and Stephen...well he just looks scary.
